Different Ways to Roast Easter Lamb

Easter without lamb... just isn't Easter! While spit-roasting is the most traditional and beloved option, it's not the only one. Each cooking method has its own charm and flavor—and the most important thing is to choose the one that suits your family.

Let's take a look at three popular ways to cook lamb and what to keep in mind for each:

Spit-Roasted Lamb

Early in the morning, you set up the spit, prepare the coals, and get started. The lamb turns slowly, the house fills with enticing aromas, and the excitement builds as mealtime approaches.

Note: It takes equipment and good coordination—but it's worth the effort!
Tip: Don't forget to baste it with olive oil and lemon juice as it cooks!

Oven-Roasted Lamb

If you don't have a spit or simply prefer to avoid dealing with charcoal, oven-roasted lamb is an excellent option. The house fills with enticing aromas, and you can serve it with potatoes or vegetables.

Note: Don't overcook it and let it dry out! Cover it with parchment paper or aluminum foil for the first two-thirds of the cooking time.
Tip: Use a marinade of mustard, lemon, and garlic for extra flavor.

Charcoal-Grilled Lamb

An ideal choice for anyone looking for a quick, delicious result. Ask your butcher to prepare lamb chops for you.

Tip: A good marinade and frequent turning are the keys to perfect results!

Whichever method you choose this year, we're here for you at Siakos.gr with the finest meats, cut and prepared exactly the way you like them. Because Easter is a time for joy—and joy is best shared around a table filled with delicious aromas, laughter, and... perfect lamb!
