🐖🍖🇬🇷 Greek Bone-In Pork Leg

Greek Bone-In Pork Leg • Juicy & Flavorful • Perfect for Slow Roast • Ready-to-Cook

The Greek Bone-In Pork Leg is a cut made for roasting: rich, juicy, and ideal for slow roasting to create a flavorful sauce. The bone helps it cook evenly and adds extra flavor, while the meat retains its juices better, especially in the oven or Dutch oven.

It is the classic choice for a Sunday meal, a festive roast, or a wine-braised dish, with a result reminiscent of traditional cooking.

📖 Product Description

• Cut: Bone-in pork leg
• Origin: Greece
• Rich flavor, ideal for slow roasting
• Suitable for: oven, Dutch oven, pot
• Packaged with traceability & quality certification

💎 Why choose it

🦴 Bone-in – more flavorful, cooks more evenly
🔥 Ideal for slow roasting: tender and juicy
🍷 Pairs well with wine, mustard, garlic, and rosemary
🥔 Perfect with roasted potatoes and gravy made from the pan juices
🍽️ A large cut for a family meal or festive table

⚠️ Important

❗ The product is not ready to eat — it must be fully cooked before serving.

🔥 Cooking Method (recommended – oven/Dutch oven)

Slow-roast for tenderness + finish at high heat for a crust

1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 160–170°C.
2️⃣ Season with salt and pepper and rub with olive oil. Optional: mustard, garlic, rosemary, paprika.
3️⃣ Place in a roasting pan or Dutch oven with ½–1 glass of water, stock, or wine.
4️⃣ Roast covered for 2–3.5 hours (depending on weight).
5️⃣ Uncover and increase the heat to 210–220°C for 15–25 minutes to brown.
6️⃣ Let it “rest” for 10–15 minutes before carving.

✅ It's ready when the meat pulls away easily and the juices run clear.

💡 Chef's Tip

• For a more barbecue-style result: add a little smoked paprika and finish over high heat at the end.
• Add potatoes or quinces to the roasting pan — they pair wonderfully with pork.

🍽️ Pairings & Serving

• Roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes, or pilaf
• Roasted vegetables
• Pan juices sauce
• Green salad or cabbage-carrot slaw

🌏 Flavor Profile
