Περιγραφή
Production area: Barbera is made from grapes grown in the estate vineyard in the Rodokipos Farm area, N. Silata, at an average elevation of 90 meters, with a north-south orientation, on clay-sandy soil. Grape variety: Barbera, a red grape variety originating in Piedmont, northern Italy. Two selected clones are planted in the vineyard to combine all the variety’s genetic characteristics. Harvest: Harvest takes place during the first ten days of September, with hand-picking into 20 kg crates and sorting in the vineyard. Fermentation and aging: Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing extended contact between the pomace and the must. Malolactic fermentation follows immediately after October. The wine is aged in rotation in 400-liter acacia barrels for six months, and partially in the tank, creating an intriguing hybrid of the two profiles. Finally, the production process is completed with a minimum of six months in the bottle for reductive aging.
Aromatic profile: A red wine with intense purple hues characteristic of the variety. Complex, floral aromas with notes of wild sour cherry, cherry, blueberry, and lavender. Distinctive notes of smoke and leather; full-bodied and harmonious, with a persistent, pleasant finish.
