Περιγραφή
A powerful red wine based on a successful blend: Syrah, known for its spicy intensity, and Agiorgitiko, which lends velvety… charm. The result is worth tasting…
A robust wine in every sense of the word. It has high alcohol, firm tannins, and a generous body. It is very well made and would ideally benefit from aging to mellow out a little, or needs a hearty piece of meat to… tame it!
Winemaking: Harvesting at night, when the grapes are at optimal ripeness, aims to preserve the aromatic and phenolic potential of each variety. Proper pre- and post-fermentation maceration helps extract this potential. The juice is then transferred by gravity into oak barrels, where it remains for 12 months, followed by 8-10 months of bottle aging.
Wine characteristics: An alluring purple color. A complex bouquet of jam and plum aromas, with notes of butterscotch and coffee, leading to a subtle background of spices. The palate is distinguished by the balanced interplay of alcohol, acidity, and tannins, lending it harmony and volume, while overripe fruit and cinnamon dominate the long finish.
Ideal serving temperature: 17-18 °C.
Pairs beautifully with... meat cooked in spicy sauces, game, and yellow cheeses.
This is a wine with great aging potential. Decanting is recommended.
