It has a deep ruby color. Its expressive aromas evoke both red fruits, such as strawberry syrup, and dark fruits reminiscent of blackcurrants and blackberries, wrapped in notes of vanilla and nuts. On the palate, it is rich, with noticeable yet balanced tannins. The fruit flavors take on a jammy character, while the finish leaves a very soft and unexpected sweetness for a red wine.
Tasting notes: Deep red color with blue highlights. Complex nose with notes of red and dark fruit syrups, graphite, sweet spices, and vanilla. Warm and concentrated on the palate, with grainy tannins that bring the wine into balance. Long finish of sweet spices. Pairs with yellow cheeses, braised or grilled meat, and game. At the winery: Each variety is vinified separately. The must remains in contact with the grape skins until fermentation is complete. The wine is blended and aged in new oak barrels for 8 months. Aging potential: Ready to drink this year, but will develop beautifully over the next 5 years. Varietal composition: Mavrodaphne 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Agiorgitiko 20%
