🐖🍖 Farm Chitas Milk-Fed Piglet Leg
Milk-Fed Piglet Leg • Farm Chitas • Ultra Tender • Oven & Spit Ready • Ready-to-Cook
The Farm Chitas Milk-Fed Piglet Leg is one of those cuts that practically cooks itself: tender, juicy, and incredibly delicate, with the characteristic milky sweetness that makes the roast smell wonderful. The leg combines meat with just the right amount of fat, so it doesn’t dry out and comes out with crispy skin when finished properly.
Ideal for the oven or a Dutch oven (and, if prepared properly, even for spit-roasting), it’s the choice for celebrations and dinner parties when you want a wow-worthy result without going overboard.

⚠️ Important
❗ The product is not ready to eat — it must be fully cooked before serving.
🔥 Cooking Method (recommended – oven/Dutch oven)
Slow roasting for tenderness + high heat to finish the skin
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 160–170°C.
2️⃣ Season generously with salt and rub the skin with a little olive oil. Optional: garlic, rosemary, thyme.
3️⃣ Place in a roasting pan/Dutch oven with ½–1 glass of water or stock (and potatoes, if desired).
4️⃣ Roast covered for 2–3 hours (depending on the weight), until tender.
5️⃣ Uncover and increase the oven temperature to 220°C for 15–25 minutes to make the skin crispy.
6️⃣ Let it “rest” for 10 minutes before carving.
✅ It’s ready when the meat pulls away easily and the juices run clear.
💡 Chef’s Tip
• For glossy skin: at the end, before turning up the heat, pat the skin dry with paper towels and sprinkle with a little extra salt.
• Don’t carve it as soon as it comes out of the oven — resting keeps all the juices inside.
🍽️ Pairings & Serving
• Oven-roasted potatoes in the pan with the juices
• Green salad or cabbage and carrot salad
• Mustard, lemon, or a sauce made from the roasting juices
