🍷🥩 Red Wine-Braised Beef in a Roasting Bag
Wine-Braised Beef in Roasting Bag • Tender Heifer “Chuck” • Homemade Marinade • Ready-to-Bake
Red Wine-Braised Beef in a Roasting Bag is the “smart” festive dish that comes out like a casserole—but with the convenience of the oven. The star is the tender beef chuck, an especially soft, fine cut, marinated in olive oil, red wine, salt, and pepper to bring out its rich flavor and keep it juicy.
Along with the beef, all the good things go into the bag: mushrooms, caramelized onions, peppers, and carrots, all prepared in-house. The roasting bag keeps the juices inside and “works” like slow cooking, giving you a result that is tender, wine-braised, and richly flavored, with a sauce that calls for bread.

⚠️ Important
❗ The product is not ready to eat — it must be fully cooked before serving.
🔥 Cooking Instructions (in a roasting bag)
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2️⃣ Place the bag on a baking tray, as is, with its contents.
3️⃣ Make 2–3 small holes in the top of the bag to let the steam escape.
4️⃣ Roast for 90–120 minutes (depending on the weight and thickness of the pieces).
5️⃣ Optional: At the end, carefully open the bag and roast uncovered for 10 minutes for a thicker sauce and a light browning.
✅ It’s ready when the meat cuts easily and the juices run clear.
💡 Chef’s Tip
• Don’t be afraid of slow roasting — that’s where the magic happens in this red wine beef dish.
• If you’d like a silkier sauce, reserve the juices from the bag and reduce them for 2–3 minutes in a small saucepan.
