Mouhtaro is a rare red grape variety native to Central Greece, whose existence is owed to Ktima Mouson in Askri, near Thebes. The world’s only single-varietal Mouhtaro is fruity and soft, yet “serious” at the same time, showing the variety’s potential and promising to keep us intrigued for years to come.
It’s one of those red wines you can enjoy with fish!
It has a bright red color. The nose is filled with sour cherries and cherries, as well as ripe fruit such as plum and fig, mint, chocolate, and subtle notes of vanilla from the oak.
It’s juicy on the palate, with high acidity, elegant tannins that pleasantly stimulate the palate, and a herbaceous finish that leaves a wonderful impression. Enjoy it now or over the next 4 years.
Deep crimson-purple in color, with a distinctive nose of ripe fruit and an impressive bouquet. Rich and distinctive, with beautifully integrated tannins from aging in oak barrels, characteristic acidity, and a long finish.
